Essential treatments are still going ahead!

When making an appointment for a treatment, please remember the following applies:

Arrive to all appointments with a face covering

Face coverings are to be worn with treatments when you are face up

All areas are sanitised thoroughly between clients to help us all keep safe

Bring your own towel or blanket to put over you if possible

Toilets can be used and will be cleaned thoroughly throughout the day

Main points are:

 

  • According to the latest regulation (full text here), Businesses allowed to remain open under lockdown include “dental services, opticians, audiology services, chiropody, chiropractors, osteopaths and other medical or health services, including services which incorporate personal care services and treatments required by those with disabilities and services relating to mental health”.

  • The current UK Standard Industrial Classification of Economic Activities includes in section 86.90 “Other human health activities”: “activities for human health not performed by hospitals or by medical doctors or dentists: activities of nurses, midwives, physiotherapists or other paramedical practitioners in the field of optometry, hydrotherapy, medical massage, occupational therapy, speech therapy, chiropody, homoeopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture etc”.

But what about the new strain?

If you are classed as clinically vulnerable (click here to see who is classed as clinically vulnerable), please do shield and refrain from booking in unless absolutely necessary. When and if you feel you really need a treatment, you will need to provide a letter from your GP to say they are happy for you to come in for a treatment.

Staying responsible during this period, full PPE is required for all appointments. This includes visor, mask, no loose clothing and plastic apron. As a client, you are required to attend your appointment with a mask/face covering. Personal hygiene facilities are available including hand sanitiser on arrival and toilets which are regularly cleaned (recommended not to use unless you are desperate). All surfaces, door handles, equipment used during treatment is cleaned between every appointment and the air purifier is on all the time to help reduce the spread of anything.
